Costing Manager (Biotech MNC, North) Job Type : Permanent Location : North Salary : $7000 & Above Our client is a global life sciences company in providing products and services used to develop new drugs and technologies to diagnose, prevent and treat diseases. Position Overview This position will be responsible for all facets of cost accounting including handling monthly closing activities, developing and maintaining standards for several product lines. This position will work very closely with the VP of Manufacturing, supporting all manufacturing activities and ongoing business initiatives. Job Requirements: • 6+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required. • Must possess sound knowledge of accounting and principles of cost accounting. • Self-starter, dependable and must possess the ability to respond quickly and accurately on multiple priorities. • Ability to identify weaknesses in controls and develop and implement recommendations for resolution. • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures. • Working knowledge of Oracle or other ERP systems. Job Responsibilities: • Develop and routinely produce standard reporting packages, including actual and forecasts, for management decision making. • Develop and update standard costs for all existing and new products. Analyze and present impact of cost trends on operating margins. • Ensure cost accounting system and general accounting processes support business goals and improve productivity. • Ensure internal controls are in place and operate efficiently as well as ensure compliance with SOX requirements. • Assist Controller with month-end financial reporting responsibilities. Cost Controller (MNC Manufacturing,$4k & Abv)

Job Type : Permanent
Location : Tuas Crescent with Transport pick up
Salary : $4,000 - $5,500

Spearhead new initiatives to establish cost accounting and control procedures and processes.
This role is to prepare budget and actual cost of operations, departments and products, analyze variances and provide financial reports and costing information to support decision-making and business needs.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting;
• At least 3 to 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Commercial cost accounting skills with experience dealing with product costing and project accounting and operational issues in a global business context;
• Good attention to details;
• Possess a “hands on” approach, good team player and is self-motivated;
• Strong analytical skills especially in data and process analysis
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet applications
• ERP experience
• Experience in Movex or Syspro is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain and review cost sheets and databases for new and existing products and provide support in scenario analysis;
• Work closely with internal functions to build accurate product cost estimates, analyze margins, variances and costs;
• Review and determine cost allocation basis for Profit & Loss reporting;
• Support CFO in monthly reporting, budget & forecast analysis and sales & gross margins analysis;
• Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls;
• Follow up and track all capital expenditure triggered by new business requirements or investments;
• Establish and maintain systems and processes for cost analysis;
• Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives;
• Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of cost accounting records;
• Interface with internal and external auditors on cost related issues;
• Stay abreast of cost process changes;
• Participation in ad-hoc project, where required.
